If one wants to travel to the OR Tambo International Airport from Samrand it will take less than 40 minutes in travel time and is 30 km to 50 km in distance depending on which route is chosen. The central business district of Pretoria is roughly 30 km away and is around 30 minutes travelling time. The central business district of Johannesburg is roughly an hour away and is just over 40 km in distance depending on which route is chosen. 

Malls/Shopping

The expanse is well known for various places in which to shop, some of the more popular shopping centres or malls include, Blue Hills Shopping Centre, Blue Valley Shopping Centre, and Boulders Shopping Centre. 

Transport

The area is well connected through various modes of transportation including municipal buses and the extensive minivan taxi service that runs through all the major epicentres of the country. There is also a Gautrain Station situated in Centurion, so commuting between all the major industrial, commercial and residential suburbs is fairly easy.
